a. Psyllium Gola – Psyllium Gola is the primary by-product of Psyllium de-husking process. “Gola” is the finely powdered de-husked Psyllium seed. It finds its principal application in Cattle Feed industry. It contains about 18-20% Crude protein on dry matter basis.
b. Psyllium Red Powder or Psyllium Kha-Kha –When psylllium seeds are processed to make Psyllium husk, the extraneous material left is referred to as the Psyllium Red Powder or Psyllium industrial dust. It finds its principal use in veterinary medicines, prevention of soil erosion and as cattle feed.
c. Psyllium Lali – Another by-product of Psyllium husk. It contains 30-40% crude protein and 31.3% Ether extract, 1% crude fibre, 28.1% Nitrogen free extract, 1.4% phosphorus and 0.9% Calcium on dry matter basis. It has large amount of valuable medicinal properties. Thus, it is a good source of protein and energy.
